" A very standard starbucks (which is what you go for) in a lovely old building, with a nice sofa area, and some good outdoor seating with a nice view of the bustling streets of a fantastic old city "

" After a horrendous train journey from Sheffield, with an extremely offensive and nasty man who I had the unfortunate luck of sitting next to, which ultimately resulted in the train being held up while he was given a talking to by the rail staff.....my faith in British people (I'm a Brit myself but have lived in the US for 15 years), was restored after leaving the train and coming into this Starbucks. Thank you to the lovely Barista who recognized the quirky nature of my 8 yr old son with Autism and was so patient with his obsession for Starbucks cups. She went out of her way to make both me and him feel a little less out of place than we often do when we go out to public places and was more than willing to accommodate his strange requests, without even questioning. She even called out his name and said 'Bye' to him when we left. At that moment, after such an ordeal, I truly needed your kindness and I hope you will read this! You'll never know how much these rare moments of kindness and acceptance mean to parents of these special yet challenging children. So Sincerely, Thank you!!!! "

" This particular Starbucks is my favourite for a few reasons. First, it's set in a gorgeous old building, once a bank, with an interesting design. Second, it's about the staff. People may prefer other coffee available from other coffee shops, but Starbucks' approach to customer service keeps people happier. The staff make an effort to engage with customers rather than simple serve them coffee.
That there are good areas to sit and socialise, or get work done, plus WiFi right in the centre of the city also helps matters. "

" On Boxing Day, at 5:00pm, I was told I couldn't use the toilet as "they are about to be cleaned". This remained the case until we left at 5:30. This is not reasonable. "
