Nice clean and tidy place with nice gardens and grounds. Loads of parking.

" My daughter and I have returned for yet another year. We love it here. The food is always gorgeous and the staff helpful and friendly. This year the accommodation is being updated/refurbished and our room was delightfully bright and airy. We arrived on the day of a wedding and although staff were busy preparing, they made time to make sure we were comfortable. An absolutely stunning location for weddings. I can highly recommend the Blazing Donkey, for great meals, drinks, weekend breaks, a good base for visiting local attractions and of course as a wedding venue. Thank you to Richard, Sherry and their staff. We'll be back! :-) "

" We booked this as a gift for our friend (40th), the deal was a hotel overnight stay with 3 course meal, glass of wine and breakfast the next day.
A week before we stayed we looked online at the reviews...... frankly we were then very scared. Horrible pictures and what seemed to be really damning reviews.
So I visited before we went (to ease all our minds), and the staff were really helpful. I saw the rooms and they were clean! However still doubt in my mind because of the food reviews.
We arrived yesterday, the rooms were immaculate with new beds in them (slept like a dream). Even better was the food, and nothing was a bother. Yummy starters, great mains and dessert. There was a lot of choice for an a la carte!
This was in my opinion a lovely hotel, with lovely food ran by lovely helpful people!
