" There were 7 of us who had a meal here over the weekend. The food overall was really good the hanging kebab was a big hit as well as the sea bass with mussels. I had the keys chicken which I wouldn't order again bit on the greasy side. Dropped a star because they forgot one of our meals which they brought later and said that it would not be on the bill. An honest mistake that was dealt with professionally. Overall a good experience "

" Good deal on some of the best cocktails in town! 2 for 1 after 6PM if you buy two of the same cocktails so ended up with 4 cocktails for just over a tenner. Can't go wrong! Lovely staff. Fab drinks. "

" Feel like I’ve been shafted!
I normally eat in the Yarm keys which is excellent 10/10.
Thought I’d try the one in Darlington for a change. I ordered a steak burger, which I’d assumed would be a nice bit of steak as it was the same price as the sirloin. What I received was a very greasy burger. The very nice waitress explained that it was minced steak. Shame the menu didn’t say it was minced. Not even offered a discount "

" Started to use the keys a couple of months ago, mostly for breakfast 'yum yum'. the daytime menu is also fantastic. the service from the very pleasant staff Helen / Louise & Daisy was superb...will definitely call again every day. "

" The Keys in Darlington is a beautiful venue for any dinner celebration. But myself and a group of friends did not have the best of service, even though we'd mentioned while booking that we would be having afternoon tea and some of us would want food from the menue - the attitude from the staff was awful when some of the ladies wanted to order from the menue. Great food but we felt unwelcome :( "

" Been meaning to leave a review for a while for The Keys. This place for me Is the number one eatery I have found in the northeast. The staff are superb, friendly and also willing to help you. The food is outstanding, for the crazy low prices I have no idea how the food is so nice. Massive props to the Chefs they really are splendid. Its always nice and cosy and relaxed especially in the booths where I sot most sundays. Seriously If you have never tried this place go and try it and you wont be dissapointed. 👌👍 "

" We went last night for my boyfriend's birthday, the food was delicious-one of the best burgers we have ever had. The service was fantastic and there was a great choice of cocktails ( even better that it was 2 for 1). We will definitely go back. "

" Nipped in here as a small group on a Sunday afternoon for a drink. Clean, if a little lacking in atmosphere. However had I known at the time how the staff member who was greeting and seating behaved towards the first few of our group through the door, I would have simply walked out and taken our patronage elsewhere. The Keys seems to enjoy an inflated reputation based on the exemplary cleanliness of the place, general appearance and sticking a few extra pennies on the prices. Nothing about the place stood out to me, and given the frankly disgraceful attitude of the staff (though I had no complaints dealing with the bar staff) I'm not in any great hurry to return. A shame. "
