" Stayed here for one night while visiting my brother in York. Nice modern room at the back of the pub. Great breakfast. Staff very friendly. They weren't serving dinners when I was there, but easy to walk into town to find something (followed by after-dinner stroll to see the Tardis outside the police station :) It was perfect for what I wanted. "

" Wheelchair access is not easy but can be done. There's a number on the back gate to ring if you have problems opening the beer garden gate but I haven't tried it we managed to get in with one for held open. Beers are good will kept and three decent ales on offer. Staff are friendly a local pub where you are made welcome. "
