" Stains on the duvet, zero pressure in the shower, gone off milk in the room, kettle needed descaling, bugs/dust on shelves/window sills, damp/mould marks on walls, had to ask for loo roll and hairdryer which was supposed to be there on arrival... but worst of all, a member of staff got my phone number and started sending me inappropriate messages. On the upside, other staff I met were lovely and there lots of channels on the TV. "

" Lovely original old English 16c Inn full of charm. Clean public areas and wash rooms with modern blade type hand dryers. Beautifully presented and crafted food made on the premises with fresh local meat and produce by two accomplished chefs. AA 3 Star awarded certficates displayed over many years. 5 Star hygeine awarded and award winning ales. Staff very professional and dedicated. A well looked after and cared for establishment and it shows! The negative feedback on here seems completely false. Not at all the same Inn, some one either has an axe to grind or competitor influenced? No nasty or bad surprises, just lovely mannered caring people here. Well worth a visit any day of the week. "
