City of Derry Airport is a regional airport located 7mi northeast of Derry, Northern Ireland. It is located on the south bank of Lough Foyle, a short distance from the village of Eglinton and 8mi from the city centre.Since 2011, the airport (which is also locally known as Eglinton Airport), has experienced decreasing passenger numbers. In 2016, 290,671 passengers used the airport, which is a 28% reduction in five years. Currently Ryanair and BMI Regional are the only airlines serving the airport with scheduled flights.
