" Small car park so if you’re not an early starter you won’t get a spot.
Easy access to the Mournes via the Trassey Track. Hares Gap turn right for Bernagh or left along the wall to Commedagh. Take the Brandy pad for an easy route to Donnard.
Meelmore and Spellack are accessible on the right as you walk up the Trassey Track. "

" Small secluded free carpark to go into the mournes from the western side. Holds maybe 20 cars. Right beside the hares gap /Bearnagh hiking start point. A few tables and rubbish bins provided but no public wc! Access road is small and narrow but fairly close to Newcastle. "

" Free, but small and fills up quickly. Well located for accessing the Mournes via Hare's Gap. "

" A great place to start a walk in the Mournes - we would park here, walk up the Haire's Gap, along the Brandy Pad, walk down between Donard and Commedagh, then onto the Glen river were we would then go cross country and hop the wall into Tollymore and then across to Parnell's bridge and then back to Trassey! A great walk! "

" For being so remote, this car park is always clean. There are benches and places to have a BBQ. Being right beside the Trassey Track, this car park is ideal for anyone thinking of going to the West Entrance of Tollymore or up Hare's Gap and onto the Brandy Pad. "
