What is a Pure Cremation?

A Pure Cremation (also known as a direct cremation) is a simple cremation-only service without any ceremony at the crematorium. The deceased is collected from the place of death and taken to the client care facility, based in our own crematorium near Andover, Hampshire. They are looked after here until the cremation is completed.

Following the cremation, the cremated remains are presented in a unique biodegradable container with a ceramic disc to prove their identity. Most ashes are hand-delivered to family on an agreed day, but if you prefer they can be scattered in our lovely Garden of Remembrance.

Families choose to create their own farewell ceremony exactly where, when and how they want, often using a lovely photograph as a focal point.
