" I think this is the only three-star review I've done since I become a Local Guide. Now I'm no expert but this zoo was poor - a moderately long unsurfaced track with lots of potholes being the only access - and not suitable for HGVs or road bikes. 30% of the enclosures were empty, and that same percentage not being able to be seen. All of the animals that could be seen were happy and being cared for, but I must say that half of the animals there were not in a social group. I could only see 2 meerkats, but they did have many holes and burrows so there were probably more below.
The quality of the enclosures were very poor - definitely not up to Chester Zoo's standards.
I only saw 2 members of staff throughout our whole visit. The 'Woodland Walk' was below standards as the signs were the wrong way, some of the path was overgrown and we didn't really benefit from it. No WiFi, which also disappointed me as I wanted to write this review up in the small cafe, which we didn't go to.
I do recommend going here, however. Some of it was enjoyable and exciting, some was not. Camera is advised though - I got some nice pictures! "

" This is a very polite rating. Wheelchair accessible only in good weather as chair will get stuck in mud. £16 to see a centre dedicating some animals to death as they are no longer with them for 3yrs and clearly not to be replaced. Animals overweight and digging to escape. Not impressed at all and cafe is of poor quality foods. Lots of empty enclosures for paying the sum of £16. Only saving grace is that wheelchair users went for free. "
