" I just dropped a friend off at the airport as she was going back to Poland. They're actually charging you now (£2.00) for simply dropping a passenger off near the airport. If you take longer than ten minutes it goes up to £4.00. You're no longer allowed to stop anywhere near the place without paying. What an embarrassment when friends come to visit you and they're first impression is of an airport that charges you money for using the pavement.

To say I'm disgusted with this is an understatement. And all engineered under the pretext of 'airport security'. Some idiot rams a car into the building and some other idiots in suits get everyone else to pay for the security makeover. The decision makers of Glasgow Airport are money-grabbing and it's shameful for this airport to bear the city's name. "

" Tesco's presence at this airport is a useful and practical one: prices appear sensible as opposed to those in the gift shops where ordinary items have price tags aimed at the unsuspecting traveller.
The International arrivals area seems to sell Glasgow short: its space is fresh and generous, but a photographic mural, a view of Glasgow to the north, is what serves as style or statement for those arriving from abroad. It's fairly anonymous and forgettable.
The West of Scotland is rich with a fantastic resource: water. A water fountain would be a brilliant Scottish welcome, especially if a hi-tech hygienic drinking feature was available at it.
Refreshing, dust-free, full of nice negative ions for those constrained for hours in noisy cabins with poor air quality, I wish those travellers free water, in abundance! "

" Dick Turpin would be proud.
Now, in order to pick someone up from the airport, you are forced to pay at a barrier so you can leave.
Bring plenty cash, it's not cheap.
Somebody is making thousands each day from this daylight robbery.
I won't be back, on principal.
Ever. "

" Ignore, profile name. Right, onto the review. If you see a flight that goes through, departs from or arrives at Glasgow Airport, proceed with caution. I'm sorry but, this airport is the most depressing place in Scotland, and I should know. You ask a staff member for help and they sigh and feel less inclined to help then you are to 'bother' them standing around. I was disgusted with the attitude of staff here. Now I know why they get these hologram staff things instead, because the actual staff can't bother their arse, to actually help people. For the past 10 years every summer we have been going to Florida, and we HAVE to fly out of here. The airline staff are super friendly, until you get to security... that's when things go downhill. Now that everything is automated it's so confusing, even though we are frequent travellers we still get flustered. You are trying to put your ticket on the scanner and behind you, you hear "Ugh.", now you'd think that was another passenger in a hurry? Understandable. No. It was another member of the Glasgow Airport team, who couldn't be the slightest bit bothered to try and help. I don't know if they are taking the piss or not, because it's seriously the worst service you could get. So, after all of that you finally get to security, I took all metal objects off... the scanner went off, next thing you know bloody armed police casually walk over (I was 14 at the time, this event was a few years ago now), and I get a full pat down... Um, just a little lesson for your Glasgow 'Airport' you can't pat down a minor, without parental consent, but I guess rules don't matter to you, like your appalling customer service. Finally we get through security, and on our flight. Nice holiday in Florida, come back 6am in the morning to have another run in with the cast of Coronation St. We get to border control, and the bloody officer shouts at us and tells us; "Use the auto lane" (14 at the time). Next year, we go to use it: "NO, UNDER 16'S CAN'T USE THAT"... I am by this point confused, at what to do... Glasgow Airport, is a good place to be avoided, if you can.

Not Recommended. "
