" Used to be Scotlands only Goodyear rubber products factory. Only piece that remains is their ermployee social club (unless it was broken into and torched as well) As it used to be the Drums biggest employer of both sexes, in the fencing years of the Drum.
Now the area has changed a bit, for the better but a poor relation to the previous one, apart fae the Bum shoap.
So no more cheap tyre offers out the back door (If you owned a tractor, a bubbled tyred auto or a bus). Or free fencing either. A sad loss for Drums employment prospects in the future alas.
But, to all the grandparents that remain, their grandkids have somewhere to fight wae the polis and jack up drugs and whither away like my proud birthplace. "

" Good range of retailers. New collection of fast food including the major well known coffee providers. "

" Not exactly visually appealing but the variety of shops available is good, especially since they added the new fast food outlets. "

" Grabbed a Coffee at Starbucks where the staff were helpful and pleasant. Popped across to B&Q to get a few bits to wrap up the Weekend DIY Project and finally to Sainsbury's for something tasty for tea. All one place, not bad. "
