" October 8th 2011. Just spent a fantastic week at Laggwood.The weather was not great but the cottage more than made up for that by being so comfortable and welcoming. We know Arran well and this is by far the best cottage we have stayed in on the island.Unlike the person below,we were desperate to see bats,had a bat detector with us,but to no avail. We did however see red squirrels every day in the garden,and lots of different birds at the feeders. Laggwood is a brilliant place to base yourself on Arran - highly recommend it.

" We had a wonderful holiday in Laggwood Cottage once again for the second year running. We were fortunate with the weather and that made our stay all the more pleasant. I cannot fault it in any way at all. We long to be be back there as soon as possible! "

" The cottage is very comfortable, well appointed and in a lovely peaceful setting by the river. It's ideally situated to access the other parts of the island.
We had a beautiful week of weather last June and were able to enjoy the garden, watching the red squirrels and a wide variety of birds.
We liked having two lounges to give our group the flexibility in the evenings of reading or watching TV .
Alternatively we strolled across to the hotel for a meal or down to the beach to watch the sunset. "
