" This place feels like a local secret, such a good vibe with great music going, AMAZING food (treacle tart was SO good!!) and right in the middle of so many interesting things. Loved the style of the cafe, just really good food and great staff. Very friendly to a solo traveller coming in from a rainy Edinburgh day. "

" Small little home cooked joint, which is my favourite kind of restaurant. Portions were massive, prices were great and staff was incredibly friendly. We'd recommend the steak and ale stew. Chips were also great. A definite stop if you're looking for some food to warm up! "

" Tasty and traditional food served by smiling and friendly staff. The interior is all in line with "Mums" great food from past times. The only down side is the music and sound that is a little bit to loud to be comfortable for a dinner... "

" OMG what fantastic food we had. 6 of us on a Monday late afternoon had steak and ale stew with cheese mash, trio of sausages with red onion and basil mash, shepherds pie and large cauliflower and broccoli cheese bake. We all enjoyed our food. Staff extremely helpful and we can all highly recommend it. Thank you 😊 "
