" I don't know a huge amount about art but I love going to the modern art galleries. There's usually a free exhibition and other work that you can see for few. There's also normally a paid one, sometimes two. The annual membership isn't expensive and is worth it if you are going to a couple of exhibitions a year and it gets you in to the other galleries in Edinburgh. Both buildings are in a great location, with parking, and have really nice grounds/gardens. Inside the layout is spacious with plenty of room to appreciate the exhibitions. The restaurant is excellent, with great food at a very reasonable price. "

" Always something on show to infuriate or infatuate you. Some great exhibitions over the past few years. Cheap parking for Edinburgh, great cafes but busy at weekends. Perfect for Water of Leith walkway start point. "
