" A friendly, family owned country inn with a cosy bar which has a wood burning fire. Bespoke furniture features strongly in both the bar and restaurant and also in all of the six letting rooms. Quality meals are served throughout the day and the well stocked bar has at least one real ale on tap at all times. The Stair Inn is in the 2017 edition of the Good Beer Guide published by CAMRA. The Stair Inn cannot be easily reached using public transport. "

" Beautiful location surrounded by history from the Montgomery family who owned the old mine and hone works. The inn itself is a very friendly place and in summer always new faces to be seen with visitors. "
