" When I had to leave Guernsey airport today @ 2.40 and turned up at the deerhound with 45 minutes to spare they fed me a great roast in 30 minutes. The staff were great, hard working, efficient and pleasant and believe me a sausage roll and a coke at the airport would have cost me almost as much! "

" Nice, cosy pub, with friendly staff. Bit quiet when we went, but the weather was horrid. Lamb shank was succulent & my slow cooked belly pork was tasty. Lots of veg too, not overcooked or crunchy. All in all, good value, relaxed & will visit again. "

" I like the deerhound however, 5.20 is a silly price for a pint of peroni, asking to move table should not be a big deal if you have another table to accommodate that group, lastly the lamb burgers/burgers generally are very dry and the chips look reheated. The presentation of the curry was also not very aesthetically pleasing. "
