Guernsey Kidney Patients Association
About Guernsey Kidney Patients Association
The Association was set up following the establishment of a renal unit at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital. We are a registered charity and rely solely on fundraising, contributions and donations.
The Renal Unit located at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital in Guernsey is a 6 stationed unit operated as a partnership between the Guernsey Health and Social Service Department and Guys and St.Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London.
The Guernsey Kidney Patients Association (GKPA) is a registered charity (Number 215).
Our aims are to provide support for the renal dialysis unit, assistance with comforts and hospitalisation costs, and provide equipment which is beyond the responsibility of the Board of Health.
The GKPA also arrange occasional social and fund raising events to continue helping and support their patients.
