She says, "It is such a privilege to be able to teach dancing to children and youth's. Dancing of any style gives energy, excitement, happiness, and generally creates a sense of community. ENERGY STARTS WITH YOU!

I want to keep my lessons engaging and fun whilst showing confidence about the knowledge of various street dance styles. I want to create a positive atmosphere... and increase student’s confidence in dance and movement skills.

Dancing is not just for the movements and love for it. It also encourages and creates better behaviour, increases emotional intelligence so we are better equipped to understand situations with other people.

As a Street Dance Teacher I would like to think I will be inspirational, encouraging, consistent, approachable and give positive communication.

I am ADPA level 4 Street Dance Qualified with Urban Strides and gained Distinction.

I hope that my classes will encourage youngsters to get a feel for this style of dance, have fun and keep fit and healthy at the same time."

WOW!! What a fantastic day of classes 😍 everyone was so happy and excited to see each other.

We’ve had Ballet, Modern, Tap, Theatre Stars, Classical Greek, Acrobatic Arts and National classes .......... amazing!!

A huge thank you to our teachers, Mr Luke, Miss Michelle, Miss Olivia & Archie, who have been so supportive throughout lockdown ♥️ and of course, our dance shop and assistant administrator, Miss Nicky ♥️

WHO'S EXCITED FOR PHASE 5 ?

We are SO pleased to be entering the studio setting tomorrow morning, for our first face to face classes since the 19th March 2020.

The support and encouragement from all our dance families has been so gratefully appreciated during these difficult times, which have affected so many small businesses.

A special mention to all our students and families, who have coped so well and I'm sure are looking forward to dancing in a lovely studio space again!

So excited for lots of Guernsey businesses able to open from this coming weekend and keeping my fingers crossed our dance classes won’t be far behind!

I am working hard to get full clarification re last night’s directive from SoG and also further information from Capelles Community Centre.

An update will be sent as soon as I have any news, in the meantime our “live” zoom classes will continue next week.

Please understand that some changes to our class timetable and the way we operate will need to happen, as the school adapts to the “new normal”.

Our students have been engaging in different ways, either through our online portal, workshop classes, challenges or our zoom classes and all the teachers think you have been AMAZING the way you have all coped during lockdown.

The whole teaching team can’t wait to welcome you all back X

Whilst we've been in lockdown, Miss Karen has seized the opportunity to take some further training courses and examinations, to continue to expand her knowledge to benefit all our students.

We're delighted to now add, Alixa Flexibility Module 1 certification to our repertoire at KD Dance.......this involved focusing on how to gain flexibility slowly and safely, without force.
