We've had Halloween, fireworks are over and done with so now it is time for Christmas! We haven't put the decorations up but we have put the Christmas fabric out. On such a miserable day why not come and see us and choose something festive to make to while away the gloomy hours.

We have had several requests over the past few weeks for cushion pads and net curtains. I am pleased to say that we have taken notice of what you want and now have a small selection, in several sizes, of cushion inserts. While we can not stock net curtaining itself, due to the large variety of designs and sizes and our limitations on space, we will soon have the curtain wire, hooks and eyes available for you. We still have our sale on for cotton fabrics, but today we took delivery of more navy towelling - by popular demand - and also two lovely fleeces and a children's design poly cotton. On Thursday (24th November) the shop will be open between 7pm and 8.30pm. For £5.00 you can use our machines (sewing and overlocker), get advice, get help with fitting a garment you are making, take advantage of our cutting table etc. etc. There will be refreshments and any purchases of fabric will get a 10% discount.
We are also going to open on Tuesday nights in December for Christmas shopping - remember we sell vouchers, so tell your family and friends! More details to follow next week.

Well, it has been a chilly and wet day so what better way to spend it than sewing? I decided that it was time to get my additional duvet ready - two layers of fleece and padded as well, so I am all set for the colder weather.

We've had some lovey weather recently but there is now a bit of a nip in the air early morning and evening.
