Mako Children's Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our US Board of Directors is an active partner responsible for building capacity, funding, and opportunity alongside Mako's locally-led Ghanaian team and programming. Mako improves the lives of at-risk children in rural Ghana every day because of our donors who give us the resources to continue mission.Our US Board is a 100% pro-bono team. They bring a decade of experience in the Volta Region, Ghana. In hand with local leadership, this team has successfully raised dozens of children into young adulthood with resilience, love, grit, and integrity. It is an honor and privilege to advocate for the children of Mako. Our Ghanaian team continues to evolve, challenge the status quo, and spark change.Together, we ensure that children have access to the building blocks needed for a happy, healthy life. Only 50% of children in our region attend early childhood education. We're working to change that.
