It was established in 2004 by its owner and manager Robert Cheron, a dedicated and motivated second generation wholesaler, who previously worked in a family run company specializing in food wholesale in Haiti.

In 2004 Robert decided to expand to Saint-Martin to establish a family-run company of his own, headed by himself and also his wife Phadya Cheron.

Kalifood specializes in wholesale and semi-retail of ethnic foods and drinks with a range of over two hundred products.

Apart from its local based clientele, Kalifood extends its services to neighbouring islands such as Dutch Sint-Maarten, Anguilla, Guadeloupe, Saba, Statia and Saint-Barths.

The devoted team of six employees at Kalifood ensure's its annual increase in sales figures.
