" I stayed here in late August 2015 with two of my college-aged kids. We knew little Greek and Katerina knew little English, but we communicated just fine and we loved staying here.
She provided fresh eggs and veggies from her garden and she uses beautiful cotton sheets dried on a line for the bedding, which is GLORIOUS. She kept our rooms tidy and clean, the two of which shared a long balcony over the front, replete with a large bougainvillea-type plant. Each day we watched the sun rise as we sipped coffee over the 'mainland', Kyllini.
The area was very quiet, except for the donkey and chickens, which we loved. After a long day of riding a scooter and visiting the busier parts of Zante, we were happy to find our way back to Katerina's. (The nightlife in Zante town goes on until the wee hours of the morning, beware of renting near the strips of bars unless that's what you are looking for.)
There were several beaches just around the corner from here, as well as many restaurants within walking distance. I HIGHLY recommend Katerina's and when I go back, I will rent here again! "
