" It's also a good anchorage =) We spent two nights here while waiting for a downwind. 3m and sand - excellent! "

" I was snorkeling in the area and nature called in a way that could not be ignored. That's when I popped my head out of the water and saw this place. The entrance is very small, and unassuming, but the inside is spacious. The place was not kept up well, and I wonder if anyone ever cleans the place. Though, with the Greek economic crisis, it's likely that services have been suspended for such a remote area.

There was a bottle of wine on a rock in the cave, which I can only assume is the Skala equivalent of a drinking fountain. But it was empty, which again may be due to the economic crisis. Though it's possible that I just came at a bad time and that someone would be by later in the day to refill it. The lack of toilet paper was surprising, as was the lack of an actual toilet, but the proximity to the sea may render such niceties superfluous.

All in all, the experience was acceptable, especially for the remote location and during an economic crisis. It would have been nice to have an attendant, so I could pay a Euro or two for some shady Trident gum knockoff to a guy with no teeth. But it was all I needed at the time. 3 Stars. "
