" Pros: Hotel is clean, double rooms are spacious. Atmosphere is comfortable. Most staff are friendly and helpful. Particular mention goes to the young shorter bartender who is exceptional. Really knows customer service. Always serves with a smile. Lady who cleaned my room also had a very pleasant disposition. Tuesday night Karoke has good singers. Fun.

Cons: Worst hotel owner ever. Every time he was on site he yelled at the top of his lungs at staff. Cussing in front of guest. It was most unpleasant to witness as a guest and most embarrassing for staff. It was very abusive. No job is worth someone taking your dignity.

There is poor Design in rooms. Air condition is placed directly over the bed. Sure to catch a cold as many in our group did. Had to turn it off to sleep. Made room hot in the am. Bathroom toilet paper rack is behind the toilet. You have to twist l8ke a twizzler or take it off the rack. You cannot select a room with a king bed. They stare they have them but do not know which of the double rooms they are in. I got a double room with Queen beds. No hand soap, wash cloths. No counter space for women to put on make up. Room faces other section of the hotel. If drapes open they see right into your room and visa versa. So you won’t use the balcony. There is a shortage of bath towels when they are fully booked. Cleaner took our towels. I called down to front desk to get some brought up. He said he would be send some up. He never called back and the towels never came until the next day that housekeeping came to clean the room.

Breakfast. I stayed here for 10 dats. Breakfast is suppose to be served until 10:00 am. If you are not down by 9:00. You will be relegated to the omelette station. So on vacation you are forced to wake up early if you want the Guyanese breakfast. They had full hotel for Easter but never adjusted the portions so that all could get. Also they constantly ran out of dishes and cutlery.

In the evening it took approx 1.5 hours to get food served as there is only one chef.

Fruits is scarce.

Entertainment only on Tuesday night.

Pool nice size pool but never saw it being cleaned so I never went in it.

Complaints were not handled well. The Owner said this is not the US. The US is here and he lifted his hand high and Guyana is down here and he lowered his hand. What do you expect. One of the breakfast ladies never smiled and was very curt as she told you nothing is left go to the omelette station. Some customer Servive training is needed from the top down.

Security should be in uniform.

Hope this helps you at least you know what you are in for. "

" Very Basic

If you're looking for luxury or a hotel that adheres to international standards this is not the place to book. This hotel is more like a bed and breakfast with basic amenities. Stayed 3 nights and won't be going back. The only good thing was the taste of the food and mostly warm staff.
Breakfast is complimentary and they usually serve three protein items along with a carb, salad, cereal, fruit salad, tea and coffee. You do not get the full compliment of buffet breakfast you get at other hotels consistent with international standards. Additionally, the breakfast is not buffet although it is set up that way. You are served by the servers and you are not allowed any second servings. Only the salads, tea and cereal you are allowed to serve yourself. The Restaurant is also very small and got very cluttered at breakfast time. In terms of amenities there are elevators and ramps so this place is good for persons with disabilities although the rooms are quite small and not very well lit.
There are no tea or coffee items in the rooms and this is not provided by the hotel. TV kept blinking and was not showing properly. The electricity went off about five times for a few seconds on my second night. You also have to purchase your own water. The capital Georgetown is about 5-10 mins walking distance away and there are supermarkets, bakeries and food places close by.
The hotel was generally clean and well kept. However, it is still under construction so there was constant noise during the week when work was being done. Some areas were also untidy due to this. If you're looking for peaceful rest this is not the place to be. Perhaps management should inform guests of this and offer a discount as is usually the policy at other hotels. The management seems very unaccommodating. I stayed 3 nights from June 29th to 2nd July 2017. We were required to check out by at least 7:15am to allow us enough time back to the airport which is an hour away. We asked the front desk/management to accommodate us with breakfast seeing that it was 15 of us leaving only 15mins before breakfast was scheduled to be set up (usually starts at 7:30). However, they maintained that was not their policy and it was not facilitated. This is not representative of good customer service. I cannot understand how difficult it was just to package take away boxes 15mins earlier than the breakfast time for 15 paying guests.
The gym is also incomplete and should not have been opened for use as it does not meet the required standard. There is still very limited equipment, it is quite small and has no air condition so it was very stuffy and became very difficult to breathe at times and opening the door did not help much.
All in all I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Perhaps things will improve when the construction is complete. Hopefully they'll get more accommodating management or adjust their policy to become more customer oriented as well. "

" Apart from the poor service, the place lacks proper fire alarm system, emergency evacuation plans. The scene next as now gone to the casino next door so according to your room, don't expect a view. Breakfast is free but don't expect anything fancy, at that price you would expect a proper breakfast... I was really disappointed with the place and had high expectations. "
