" We haven't stayed here yet (though we have heard good things), but we have gone to the restaurant and bar several times. An amazing location with some of the best food on the island. Great service as well. You can walk here from West Bay though it's slightly adventurous. Or you can take a water taxi or regular cab. The place has a hidden gem feeling to it. Can be an intimate experience. Some amazing sunsets happen here if you are lucky. Good place to try the local fish. "

" I was fortunate to be able to visit Xbalanque during the month of December. It is the perfect escape for those looking to get away from the havoc of the resort area down the beach while still within walking distance of both West End and West Bay. The most amazing part of Xbalanque was the immaculate attention to detail or the customer service. Patsy, an interior designer and builder by trade has taken the time to enhance every small detail at the resort. Each room has unique pieces of artwork and furniture that set it apart from the others and she is constantly adding touches from collections on her travels around the world. Likewise, I was very impressed by their service. You name which activity you want to do and they will arrange transportation and be happy to give you details about the experience you are about to have. Every staff member was kind and welcoming and I felt at home here. Patsy and Marcos are very kind and always hoping to make your experience special and unique which I know would not be possible at a large resort. The views of the beach are incredible and the diving in Roatan was extraordinary. I could go on but I will end with a very important piece which is the food! The fresh seafood and impressive menu boasts the best food I had while in Roatan. Even if you aren't staying at the resort I would recommend making a reservation at the lotus bar and restaurant. Please visit this unforgettable escape. You will not regret it!
