Einer der Nachfahren dieser Familie war begeiseter für Archeologie und begann so aus der Stadt Split, Trogir und Salona viele Antike Schätze in seinen Haus zu Ausstellen. Nun dies war eigentlich auf eine Art die erste Geburt vom Museum im Palast. "
