" Beautiful and powerful (stronger than expected but it's a big drop!). Worth paying a guide and make sure you bring swimming costume, towel and beach shoes as stones are rough and slippery. Worth seeing. "

" +very beautiful waterfalls
-guides start cheating from the beginning, they don't let us enter before we paid 500.000 per 2 person(for locals price is 20.000)
We've been 2 ladies with local driver and he said we have to pay to get there, I think they share with him.
We see 2 waterfalls only, don't know if have third one..
Indonesia people never will make friend with you if you will not pay them.. So sad and bad experience.. "

" This place is in Bali, Indonesia. Nice place to relax for sometime. I don't think there'll be water in Summer. They have a nice place to sit there. You have to climb down for about 500-600 metres from main road to reach the falls. There are many street shopping kind of shops, open for too much bargaining. You can definitely shop there. Nice place for taking photos. "

" This was one of the worst experiences while in Bali. The locals tried to charge us 400,000 for a guide. We said it wasn’t worth and tried to walk away and they immediately dropped the price to 200,000 so we agreed but later found out a guide is not even needed. The waterfalls were also less than impressive.. we visited Munduk water and Aling Aling the same day and both were much better and cheaper "

" Beautiful Nature of Bali of course not forget with the waterfall included.
This place is one of the best waterfall in Bali and the best ones in Buleleng region, North Bali.

Located at the centre of between beach and highland, make this place is one of the best destination to recommended that you must visit. "

" I agree to the review of Olli. Its a nice tranquil place - once you arrive. The way getting there leads to tons of vendors that send their kids begging you to buy something. It really ruins the experience. While I know people must earn their living its not honest and they should also consider not selling the same merchandise in every second stall. "

" Beautiful waterfall has amazing panorama, there are thousands spot to click on our camera...there are so many the vendors sell local herbs, souvenirs and local guides could be alternative when you didn't know exactly this area, only need to know first the price should be paid..Enjoy amazing Git-Git😊😊💙💙🌟🙏🥇🏆🆗🆒🇮🇩🇲🇨 "

" Guides are nice but really unnecessary. Only get one if you want to donate money to the local temple (which is what they say the money goes to). The guide really just tells you about some local plants and takes pictures for you. The waterfall is nice but a lot of water has been diverted for farming so it is quite diminished. Nice part was that it wasn't flooded with tourists so you could enjoy some solitude and the sound of the water. Go if it's convenient but don't sweat it if you can't make it. "

" Great but too touristy! Go to banumala or sekumpal which are not yet over developed! You will not be disappointed!!! "

" We went there by bike going up from Lovina: A hard route, especially with low-quality rental bikes, but the waterfall was worth the ride! Not to many tourist. Very refreshing to take pictures next to it. Such a lovely place to stay for a while - the pure sound of nature. "

" It's ok. If you've seen other waterfalls this is nothing special. It's a relaxing walk down towards the falls and will have various vendors trying to sell you things. About 0.75km down to the falls.

No need for a "guide" . Entry fee is $1000 rupias per person . "

" It was my first waterfall I saw. The view was impressive and the atmosphere was also nice. Luckily there were not much tourist at the time we visited. The entry costs 10K per person. You can also swim there. "

" Falls are worth watching after a long walk. Although I could not go too close to the falls due to the pressure of water, I got completely drenched standing quite far. For water lovers, these falls are eye catching. "

" Nice waterfall, short walk from entrance. There are shops selling cloths you don't need. DON'T TAKE THE GUIDE. "

" Very nice waterfall. I've seen comments about guides. I was not approached by any (low season) and everything was very quiet, but if they offer you a guide don't take it. It's a very simple and short walk, all concrete. "

" Gitgit is one of Bali’s most impressive and highest waterfalls, located just 10 kilometres south of Singaraja. Follow the narrow path into the jungle and you’ll pass colourful souvenir stands, clove trees and coffee plantations on your way to the waterfall. Soon you will feel a cooling mist dispersing through the air, and suddenly the gushing falls come into view. Stop at the rest area at the base of the falls to snap some photos, enjoy cold drinks and snacks or dip your feet in the cooling river, or head further up the hill to see the lovely multi-tiered Gitgit Twin Waterfalls.

Must See Waterfall in Bali No. 1 - Gitgit Waterfall Bali Indonesia (Air Terjun Gitgit Bali)

A Long Walk but Worth the Hike - Recommended to Newbie’s who want to explore a very popular attraction in Bali.

You probably have already heard about Gitgit Waterfall as it is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the North of Bali. The Cascading Gitgit Waterfall is located in the Gitgit countryside, Sukasada district, Buleleng regency, about 11 Kilometers from Singaraja, Bali’s former capital, or about 75 kilometers from Nusa Dua, the southern part of Bali.

Gitgit Waterfall is located in a plateau, about 300 meters above sea level. It is the height of about 40 meters, surrounded by tropical trees and a lush green environment which has the charm of an undiscovered place. Gitgit Waterfall is a must see attraction.

The way to Gitgit Waterfall is paved with lots of stalls and on either side of the path you can find some lush plantations (coffee and cloves). The sellers are not aggressive at all and you can finally enjoy a 15 minute walk without getting hassled by anyone.

Even if the stairs and the path to Gitgit waterfall are well maintained, high heels or flip flops would definitely be the wrong choice.

A Gazebo close to Air Terjun Gitgit offers you the perfect opportunity to stop and enjoy a wonderful waterfall view and if you are lucky you can even see some wild monkeys.

Local legend has it that couples bathing together under the waterfall, will separate soon after their visit.

Gitgit waterfall is the perfect family attraction as kids can play in the water and romp around but please be aware of the slippery rocks.

Gitgit is the most popular Waterfall in Bali and it’s definitely worth a visit. However Bali has some nicer waterfalls to offer, hidden beauties, waiting for you to discover them.

During the rainy season all waterfalls have a larger flow of water gushing down them and the really show the full force of nature.

Recommended things to bring:

- Trainers
- Swimwear
- Towels "

" DO NOT TAKE A GUIDE!!! It's a daylight robbery!!! 600k for 2 person. The path is easy to find (all concrete), just a bit slippery. They will tell you that you won't find your way, but you will. Definitely!!! (0* for the pricy guides)

The waterfalls are very nice. Definitely a must see. Take your time finding all 3 waterfalls. (5* for the waterfalls) "

" Very nice view!! Beware of the guides! You can follow the road yourself, they will try to take your money in every way! We walked on our own and we met a dutch pair of woman, that asked us if we also had to pay €60 for the entrance. The entrance is 300m walking and costs €0,80. So beware! But the waterfalls are great! And you can swim there if you keep left before the bridge. "
