" This isn’t a tourist market, it’s a genuine local market. Worth visiting for the sights, smells and experience. It’s safe for tourists and there aren’t many visitors. It’s full of local Balinese people buying meat, fish, clothes, fruit and vegetables. Stall holders and shoppers are friendly towards tourists and none were too pushy. Fairly small and there’s a wide selection of shops on the main roads around the market square. Be warned, visiting might put you off eating chicken, as there are lots being openly butchered. "
