" One of the rare quiet places you can find in Bali. It has a track which you can follow and there are more and enough guild to take care of you. There is a entrance fee of 30k for each person which includes the guide fee too. You should not take any food or drinks in your hand as monkeys will attack you to grab your food. "

" Beautiful temple and monkey forest. Much more peaceful and SIGNIFICANTLY less tourism compared to Ubud monkey forest. Much cheaper too. Highly recommended. "

" Great place for photos. Monkeys like to jump on you if you stand still too long. Take time to explore around the forest and make sure you climb down the 200 steps to the river and see the holy spring water. "

" We arrived at a side entrance with the gate open and just walked In and casually strolled around looking at the monkeys. They got a little aggressive when we didn’t have any food for them (barring their teeth). I eventually had to get a stick and swat at them to let us pass. Anyways, until that point the e peri eve was fascinating - very good photo ops deep Into the forest ! See the attached photos. "

" The monkey forest is a nice and refreshing scenery.
Monkeys are well trained for camera. The guides, who happen to be photographers as well are very helpful... "

" Small "forest". Monkeys are trained to sit on tourist shoulders. Good thing: no aggressive animals. "

" Feels smaller than Ubud Monkey Forest, but it is much less crowded and cheaper. Every visitor can get a monkey on their shoulder, if they want. The guides take care of it. ;) "

" Beautiful and serene place. Had a guide that walked with us around the temple and even offered to attract some monkeys over for photo opportunities. Entrance fee was 30k per person at the time I went. "

" A less crowded alternative to the Ubud Monkey Forest that I highly recommend. The guide takes you on a gentle stroll around the forest highlighting the different groups of monkeys and the 'king' monkeys. The cheeky monkeys will come and jump on you if you hold food but they were not violent. "

" Sangeh has been for us an annoying experience. We expected a restful place.. we couldn't just walk quietly without a "guide" or a guy attracting monkeys with sweets in order to sell us photos he would take of them with us. And then we ended up in the LONG circuit of shops selling t-shirts and sarongs and whatever.
We had an unpleasant 1/2 hour there (short, but too long). I will not go back or take any more friends there. "

" Bit of a hidden gem, I'd say. Place was mostly empty when we were there (april 16), staff was friendly and the temple is a nice sight. The monkeys round here don't seem to care for visitors much and we were able to watch them go about their life for a long time. A really good experience. "

" The place is small. Natural indeed, but the some of the monkeys are so aggressive. My little nephew was bitten by the monkey, not really bad though. So, be careful with your children, stuffs, and yourself. Obey the warning signs and the guards advice there "
