" If there’s any thing lower than 1 star, I’d put it without hesitation. The rooms are okay. Location not special. The air conditioner and other facilities in the room/villa you just hope it’d be working probably, and the service is the worst. The staff are friendly, yet, they lack big time on experience. Not organized or professional. You’ve plenty of options else where with cheaper and much better experience. "

" The Lokha was a really beautiful hotel and the location was stunning, the pool area could do with some repair though especially the deck. Also service by the pool was quite poor as staff were just standing around the restaurant area when they could have been offering drinks/clearing up to keep the area tidy. All in all we enjoyed our experience at the Lokha and if the above improvements were done this would be a 5* rating. "

" A bit disappointed, place is out of town in the jungle, the location is great, staff are a disappointment, they are certainly not on the ball, somebtry really hard to help but others have a bit of a blank look. A large amount of general maintenance is needed, lights out, flickering lights and cleaning. I would rate this property as 3.5*.

" We had 3 nights at The Lokha Ubud. The villa was really relaxing with the small private pool and day bed outside, it was a great place to hangout. The restaurant was really good for lunches and dinners. However breakfast was enjoyable but because it was buffet style it was only warm. Had a giant cappuccino every morning and they were delicious. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would possibly come back with friends and hire the bigger villa. "

" The built environment is amazing - clean rooms (although the bathroom smells odd), nice small pool infinity set amongst the treetops by the river. But the service is rather inflexible and impersonal, especially with the shuttle and paid transport to Ubud town ($80k - $100k). My experience at the restaurant however ruined my impression of this hotel. There was no table for me despite making a reservation at the main desk. It was a 30 minutes wait for the BBQ buffet and eventually they lost my plate of food and gave me a plate of randomly put together cold and burnt food. Very disappointing for the price! Expect no more than a regular 4 star hotel set in a lovely but isolated environment. "

" Best service out of any hotel we've been to. They were extremely accommodating and welcoming. The assistant manager was extremely nice and courtious! The pool view is of the beautiful Bali jungle! I would highly recomend it. "

" Beautiful location. Worst customer service i have ever experienced in a hotel. From the very first day, i was asked to give them a copy of my credit card details so they could take out some money as a so called "guarantee". I'm not an idiot so I refused and made i completely clear that i was not going to do this. A complete scam in the making. They were uncordinated at arrival organised a separate driver and cancelled our original one without even telling us. What a joke.
As for the actual time there, the coffee mugs and cutlery provided in the room were dirty. When you asked for a fruit knife or a bowl, they would either forget, bring it late, bring you the wrong thing or tell you the "other guests are using them" so u had to call and ask them to get it later. So much trouble for a fruit knife. Really? Worst of all they told my friend that she had to order a bowl 24 hours/1 day in advance.
In regards to the "afternoon tea", cold hard left over little pizza slice or a stale quarter of a sandwich. They staff did not even know the name of the food they were serving, let alone what was in it. I am allergic to egg and they gave me nothing as an alternative and had no idea whether it was in the food. My friend asked for another cup of tea and they told her she can only drink one.
Finally and most importantly, they persuaded us at front desk and called us as well to organise a wake up call. We had to check out at 2am and we organised one for 12:30am. Now thank god we had our phone alarms on. We received no call. When we told the front desk manager on our departurr he said it was automated and made it seem like we did not organise it. He then checked his records, saw that it was there, and did not say a word. No apology. No acknowledgment of their mistake.
Now, the location is brilliant and Ubud is beautiful. I would just recommend any other place to stay in while experiencing this gorgeous town. "
