" A must-eat dish from Purwokerto. Some people called this place "Soto Jalan Bank". Many famous people from Indonesia have been eaten here. Including one former president of Indonesia. The owner put those famous people photos on the wall so you can see them.

The dish basically a traditional Indonesian soup called Soto. Unlike any other soup, soto contained many things, depends on where do you eat it. Because some cities in Indonesia have their own soto. Strong spices flavour is a must for Indonesian dish. In soto H. Loso (H. Loso is the owner. H stands for Haji-the Indonesian Islamic pilgrimage title to Mekkah) you will find kupat/ketupat as a base. Then some chicken, onion leaves, and some kerupuk. Then it will poured with hot soup. And sambal that have nut flavour. "

" If there's only one place you could eat at Purwokerto, you should definitely come here. They are famous as "Soto Jalan Bank" (Bank Street's Soto) since they located at Jl. Bank. One more thing, if you are here during the ramadhan, big chance they're closed. "

" Ha ha ha ha. Yes it was a small bowl, but can make satisfied with its tender meat, chicken is delicious, plus the in crushed crackers(makanan krupuk dengan jenis krupuk mie, krupuk melarat/pasir) and peanut sauce secret must be given, without it feels empty. Should try at least two bowls. Hahaha "

" One of the famous Soto diners in Banyumas regency. Located within a walking distance from Purwokerto Station, it offers soto, an Indonesian soup, composed of vegetables, meat, broth and 'lontong' (compressed rice cake). What make this region's soto is different from those of other area is the peanut sauce. Be aware that this cafe's sauce is quite spicy, even for my standard as an Indonesian.

It also serves Tempe Mendoan, one of Purwokerto's specialties. Yummy! "

" Coto of a different kind. Definitely worth to try. The place is rather small, so better make reservation if you plan to go in a large group of more than 10 people. "
