" Wingko Babad Cap Kerta Api is a tradional snacks from Semarang. It is a well known for its soft, chewy textured and coconut taste. As far as I remember, my grandfather used to bring me this snack when I was a child. And since then, it is my favorite snack from Semarang. It is really amazing on how the family who runs the business in maintaining the quality of the product. Now they also have developed other taste such as nangka (jackfruit), banana, and chocolate. The shop itself has turned into a modern one stop shopinh for traditional snacks from Semarang. They still maintain the store floor as it was in old days. And as a symbol of the brand, the shop has a miniature of an old steam train.
The shop is located in Semarang old town area. If you happend visit the old town, the shop is within 5 minutes walking distance. Compared to other gift shops, the shop is rather quiet and maintain its original ambience with a modernized intertior. "
