The waitress was oddly confused and unfriendly, even muttering under her breath while showing us to our tables. Took a good 5mins to find a waiter to take our orders, which included being completely ignored by a waiter who looked our way. After getting up and approaching the first waitress, she pointed me away to order from another waiter. Thing is, the restaurant wasnt even busy but the service was already non-existent.
We actually felt a slightly hostile vibe from the service staff even - and we were friendly and polite customers causing zero trouble.
At the end of the day, the kitchen and restaurant location saves the day. The fish tacos and fries were yummy. Would suggest some proper service training and re-hiring. Surrounded by good restaurant and bars, Oriole will close down simply because nobody will return. "

" First time I had the latte here, it was amazing obeying compare. The foam and milk consistency were just the right companion to the rich coffee. Second time I tried the cappucino, it was just an average cup of cafe standard coffee, above average but not as good as I remembered. Perhaps the baristas changed. Prawn risotto was amazing, espresso pancakes were unique. "

" it is extremely difficult to get the attention of the service crew, and when there are queries, clarify if replies are not satisfactory because my waitress was rude with her replies and did not answer my question and still repeated multiple times despite me asking in various ways.
Regardless, food is amazing! Always an option for bar food or chill drinks after work or in the afternoon. Extremely convenient location! "

" This place serves possibly the best ice chocolate around in Singapore. I highly recommend it.
The café is cosy, and has friendly service staff. The food is above average for a café. Highlights include the Mexican Cobb salad, ice chocolate and Southern Fried Chicken.

" Second time here and it didn’t taste as good as my first visit. Service was very slow and staff are not attentive even though the place was not crowded and there were at least 3 staff around. Out of all the dishes, the truffle burger was the best. Pork ribs and fish&chips were too dry. Mac and cheese was just meh and cheese. Don’t think I’ll be coming back! "

" Food was okay, order the pan fried steak and it was very dry, bacon was kinda hard and difficult to chew through. The risotto was good though according to my friend. The Caesar wrap and spinach salads were also average. However, the staff made some special arrangements for me to have a birthday cake and were very lively and fun, so that was nice :) special thanks to siti who made it possible! However, our dinner became rather unpleasant as there was a group of 10-12 adults sitting behind us and were being extremely rowdy and noisy. Besides that, the dining experience was okay. "

" Food served here is merely edible. It is not too bad tasting, but also not good by any measure, which makes the food very expensive for what it is.
The ribs ordered were quite dry, and not sufficiently tender. Possibly a matter of personal preference, I found it unpleasant that the cut included a significant portion of cartilage that I declined to eat. The ribs were also served with a salsa that may be enjoyable to some.
They serve a variant of steak that is deep fried, and well done. Being well done, the steak is however not tough, albeit thin. Although coated in a batter, the meat failed to retain moisture and was consequently, unpleasantly dry to the palette.
We were also served by a staff at the door who knew little English. While not ordinarily an issue in most food outlets, having that sole restaurant floor staff who speaks little English in an establishment in the middle of Orchard Road seems like a service faux pas.
Being a café/bar, this place serves relatively high quality coffee, unlike its food. Their black coffee was however quite sour, but nothing unbearable. The white coffee served was smooth tasting, and very pleasant.
I found myself in want for more of their white coffee after finishing the shot served.
Ambiance is cosy with warm lighting, although definitely not good for photography in the evenings. Perhaps the light is more acceptable if seated beside a window on a terribly sunny day.
A wide range of alcohol can be seen behind the bar, with bottles labeled with names. No alcohol was sampled during my visit. "

" The quality of the food here does not come close to offsetting the appalling service you can expect at this establishment. For example, expect to wait 10 min to be seated (location was maybe half full?), wait 25 min to have your order taken (while others will have been seated and had their drinks brought to them), when your coffee finally arrives expect it to be luke warm, and expect your waiter to be very rude to you, if you ask to have some water because he or she may be having a bad day . Ridiculous. Would've happily gone hungry than have eaten here. "

" This place is really a hidden gem inside the 313 Somerset. There are many restaurants around this CBD area but this cafe really provides excellent services and serves high quality food.
We had brunch over there with fellow friends and I actually accidentally left my camera in the cafe. Luckily their staff recognised my bf when he passed by the cafe again and I just found out I lost my camera. What a big mistake I shouldn't make! Anyway, their staffs are kind and friendly! Thumbs up! "

" Really loved the peaceful ambience in the heart of Somerset. The coffee was premium quality and the staff were very friendly. Also, if you're a student, the environment is very conducive. So you can just grab a cup of coffee and get to work. I recommend especially the M.A.D. Milk, Taisho white/black and their most renowned one the Death Cream. Drop by their awesome place and see for yourself. Let the flavours do the talking. "

" I had dinner here instead of the usual morning coffee. It was such a wonderful experience, as the waiters were fine young gentlemen who were so sharp to serve, and humourous with their statements. I've not seen waiters this attentive nor this funny in a long time now, not locals at least. Food is awesome too, do try their pork ribs if you're into meat stuff. Alcohol one-for-one until 9pm, you're welcome. "
