" Checked into BCC hotel at 4pm yesterday. Was given room 1208 & 1209 but was told by the counter that room service had to check room 1209 first to confirm ok before we can go in. So we stayed for a while at 1208 till they told us 1209 was ok. Did not think much of it...
Did not use the room except to put our luggages and left for the mall beside it. Came back at around 10pm . Found a few small cockroaches in the toilet sink. After shower, found another cockroaches inside the fridge and another one crawling on my luggage.
Started to look around and found a few small cockroaches near my shoes and when I start picking up - they all ran under the bed. Tried to shift the bed and more were running around near below the bed. My Son on the other bed started to check and found one cockroach crawling out of his pillow where he was just sleeping on.
Called front desk and they immediately inform us that they will change our room. I immediately open the room door to wait for them and found 2 house keeping guys walked past my room holding a can of pesticide. I called them and told them about my room condition and they offered to use the pesticide to spray. But I told them that I am waiting for some one from front desk to come up to change my room but offered to show them the “evidence “ in my room. Also asked one of guy why if there are so many cockroaches and if they knew about it. He just smiled .....
Was given room 1220 which is a Premier room. Had to move all my stuffs in the old room to the new room while the guy that came to give me the key look at us without helping.... I had to make 2 trips with my Son to take our stuffs and the guy asked me rudely where is the key of room 1209 when I was still half way on my 2nd trip to gather my stuffs. Bad altitude!
Came to the new room 1220 at 11.10pm. Finish unpacking.... took 2 bottle of complimentary water from the desk and opened the fridge. A cockroach run out....::: too tired to call front desk again.
I started to Google about “BCC hotel with cockroaches” on my mobile. Found several reviews since 2016 about this problem. The management response was that they will upgrade the facilities and do better to prevent this problem again. Seem nothing improved since then. Maybe BCC hotel will response to my review with the same answer.....🤔
But I am not definitely not coming back to find out whether they improve or not.

" Wonderful place to stay overnight, hotel is relatively is clean and although the furniture is a little tired, it fits the purpose and is comfy. Toilets are big as well and beds very comfortable. The hotel is well situated near a mall and market, which serves to meet the needs of a leisurely traveller. Food nearby is delectable and really affordable. Hotel is affordable as well provides great value. Would definitely return to the hotel again. "

" Location of hotel is great. Convenient with a mall right beside it. Service is excellent as well. The down side is the room are not exactly clean. Bed sheet has stains and smells. Breakfast is free, but horrible. Don't expect too much from it. "

" This is the worst hotel that I had stayed. Need to pay SGD 100 deposit, I never pay for any hotel deposits when I staying and this is the first I had. We about 14 people stay a night, my nephew at night swim at swimming pool and accidentally had a cut ,and the blood was stain on the towel, when we check out on the next day morning, the interested thing come they charge us for the cleaning fees, and they said one towel missing and we need to pay for it SGD25 per piece.. We add a bed for a person at one of the room, we are not sure the worker have give him an extra towel or not, they day their record have and we missing it. Please la come on, we know how clean the towel it is, it's use by how many thousands people already, we took for what??? To burden our luggage weight? In the end the deposited gone half of it .. This is the worst experience that I had about 5 years ago... And it's horrible experience that I had and until now I still clearly remember it. And you know what? They said they will contact me to get back the money if they found the towel... We had no choice coz rushing to ferry terminal time was arrived.. Please be careful, and check how many towel, pillow, slipper, etc should have in a room, if not when you check out, you know it.. No end to pay for what their saying, especially for those in a group of people. "

" Close proximity to batam city center mall. Rooms are comfortable and huge, great for families and in general, a weekend staycation. Food provisions are not the best, in comparison to the food which can be found in the market a mere 10 minutes away. "

" A good and comfy place to stay. The hospitality was nice and the location was good with a big shopping centre nearby. Too bad the access was a bit difficult and the condition of the road was bad. Oh, it also has a great view of the harbour and Singapore as well. "

" The lift is very slow, the room is a non smoking room but it is filled with cigarette smell, asked for additional tower but was rejected. The only advantage is that it is near to BCS shopping centre and eateries. "

" Whit? Nae square sausage, tattie scone n black pudding and a roll n butter fur brekies haha. The hotel and the rest of Batam needs regenerated badly. The staff though are friendly and helpful and service was excellent, maintenance guy was quick to respond when the room tripped, no bad. Expect to be looked at if yer a westerner, a lot. "
