To enliven the Indonesian Institute of Architects anniversary which will be held on September, Indonesian Institute of Architects - West Nusatenggara Region is going to hold the "International Bamboo Festival". This event is presented by the Indonesian Institute of Architects - West Nusatenggara Region in association with Budi Pradono Architects and in collaboration with The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, The Government of West Nusa Tenggara and also The Regent of West Lombok. This moment is as well as the realization of the Indonesian Institute of Architects - West Nusatenggara Region to participate in order to succeed “The Visit of Lombok-Sumbawa Year 2013"

The event will invites ± 200 participants consisting of architects, artists, students of architecture from around the world to express the ideas through the "bamboo" as the mainstream media, which is almost forgotten as it’s potential as a local Indonesian material in the works of architectural and structural.

The entire work will be donated and laid back in an area to be a "Garden Bamboo / Bamboo Park" that later on can be one of the attractions in the Province of West Nusa Tenggara, particularly West Lombok.

This event will be held in Senggigi Beach, Lombok Island. Lombok Island is an island in the Lesser Sunda Islands or Nusa Tenggara are separated by the Lombok Strait from Bali in the west and the Alas Strait to the east of Sumbawa.

Lombok Island is one of many islands in Indonesia, which has the potential for many sectors of businesses. Lombok Island itself has a character that combines ethnic culture with the development of the modern world. In other words, the island of Lombok is one part of the design challenges that can build attractive commercial environment that make Lombok Island as a unique and sustainable place.
