" After diving with the Scuba Junkie crew for four days and staying at the resort for four nights I can highly recommend them for anybody wanting to explore Komodo's amazing dive sites. We felt immediately welcome arriving to the resort and greeted by one of the owners Carys. The diving crew and whole staff was very friendly and professional. Me and my partner also completed our AOW course here in the safe hands of DI Audrey. Our highlight in addition to the unbelievable diving was watching Blue Planet II at the resort with the kids from the nearby village on our last evening there. So precious! We will definitely come back to this amazing dive resort some day. "

" Me and my family had a wonderful time at Scuba Junkie Komodo. Everything was fantastic from the diving, staff, accommodation, food and environment. A special thanks to Max our dive guide, you're doing a great job, keep up the good work for another 2 years :). I really hope we can come back one day. "

" Great team, dive masters, accommodation and boats. Loads of cool dive sites and I loved the set up of the day - out on the boat all day and relaxing between dives. Boats have plenty of shade and a sun deck and you won't go hungry.

Amazing dive sites and professional staff. I'll be going back for sure. "

" Gorgeous location. The main reasons to come here are because 1) they're much closer to scuba dive / snorkel spots in the Komodo national Park than labuan bajo. 2) the diving guides are fantastic.

The accommodations are basic and could be described as glamping (glamour camping). 'Rooms' are individual 'bales' for 1-2 people with mattresses, outlets, a fan, and mosquito nets. The bales do not have hard walls, rather, they have openable bamboo shades. They are comfortable and cozy. There are noisy roosters all night, and the staff make noise starting around 5:30am, but other than that, sleeping was no problem. Public bathroom/showers. Bring your own soap, but they provide towels. Food is decent; home style cooking. They have varying dishes in buffet format for lunch (on the boat) and dinner (in the communal dining hall). Simple beer and wine are available at extra cost. No WiFi, but there is Indonesian cell service. There is a big safe in their main office where you may lock up your valuables.

Diving/snorkelling is the reason to come here. The boats leave early (6 or 7am) and stay out all day. The advantage to starting early, and the advantage to staying at Scuba Junkie (rather than a place in Labuan Bajo) is you get dive spots all to yourself for the first half of the day (because we're the first to arrive). They provide all the snorkel and scuba gear you'll need (except sunscreen and anti-fogging gel). The diving guides are fantastic. If you're snorkeling, make sure you get a diving guide, not a local. The locals will simply babysit you as you snorkel, whereas the guides will interact, teach you about the Flora/Fauna, and spot stuff you would have missed. The first day, as a snorkeller, I had a local babysitting me. The second day, I had to ask for a guide, and I'm glad I did so. The second day was amazing, mostly because of the guide.

They also offer a 'bat experience' at sunset 80k per person. Thousands and thousands of bats take off flying from the mangroves, and I'd definitely recommend seeing this. "

" I did my EFR and Rescue diver course here. The teacher took their job very seriously and made it a very fun and interesting course. I really learned a lot and feel more confident in my dives.

The team is super friendly and do their best to help you and make your stay as nice a possible.

Komodo is of course a fantastic spot, I dived with mantas, sharks and turtles...

I really recommend this place "

" Scuba Junkie is a top-notch dive outfit that encourages divers to advance their knowledge of the sport and discover the issues threatening the underwater world. From beach cleans to conservation lecture series the Scuba Junkie team doesn't just point at fish, they inspire divers to join an eco-minded conservation-centric community.

My stay at the resort was only 5 nights but I was longing for more. The workday may end for the staff but they are always available to provide valuable instruction insight and advice.

Dive safety in Komodo's famous waters was clearly of paramount importance followed very closely by dive enjoyment. The dive briefings are always a hoot, and I found myself jealous of the divemaster students learning in this absolutely legendary environment.

For a return trip -which I most certainly will be making- I love the fact that Scuba Junkie Komodo offers dive courses for all levels of divers. So I can go diving while my partner trains up for her open water and advanced courses in one of the most beautiful locations imaginable.

The food was fantastic. And the lodging was very comfortable. Quiet and cool evenings with epic sunsets as small waves lap against the shoreline are followed by starry nights of epic proportions. I slept in the thatched roof thingy and loved it. As far as dive holidays go, my experience with Scuba Junkie Komodo was the best one yet.

Be sure to see the bats and dragons before you leave.

I hope this review was helpful "

" Very secluded resort, which can only be reached by boat. The entire team of dive guides and instructors is highly professional and we felt looked after really well during our entire stay. The diving in Komodo is amazing, the underwater life is incredibly diverse and colorful! One of my best dive trips to date. "

" We would like to thank the team Scuba Junkie Komodo for professionalism in what they do.
The accommodation is like a home where we felt like a diving family.
Dive sites are great since the Great Mant, the beautiful coral and life macro. Thank you also for taking care of the water where the professionalism and attention to safety was top notch.
We recommend Scuba Junkie Komodo as one of the places that every diving enthusiast must save in their Diver`s Log

Best Regards
Team Barakuda "
