" Mr. Ali has been crafting Indian rojak since 1994. This should be all you need to know. If it isn't, then the constant custom in front of stall 73 should be a pretty good indication that there is something going on here that might just be special. I don't want to use the word institution, but that's the way I feel about what hawkers like Mr Ali have built. Mr Ali and his crew are craftsmen. They have gotten very good at doing one thing consistently, they are consequently known for that product, that level of craftsmanship and professionalism. When Indian rojak is what they want, craftsmen like Mr Ali are who they seek out. Mr Ali has honed his craft over decades and you appreciate this immediately and in a very palpable way when you place the first few morsels tentatively into the sauce and then quickly into your mouth. You know you've just had something good, but aren't quite sure why yet. I would recommend that you listen to your primal midbrain and come back again to try and figure this apparently simple dish out and why it seems to defy strict definition. "

" Wa! Indian Rojak so Nice!!
friends arranged a indian rojak session & 7 of us descended on ayer rajah food centre on 25.2.2016. ^^we ordered from both stalls 73 & 68.both plates were about S$22.50.it’s really nice. i liked it very much!it was not so different from the chinese ngoh hiang, which i had recently at kim san leng bishan.comparing, i actually liked the indian rojak better, the dipping sauce was better, more spicy, tasty, less gluey. but both were good!the one from stall 68 (top) looked like about 3/4 the size/amount of the one from stall 73 (below).plus stall 73 order included squid, and it was a large squid so that would be quite expensive, may like S$8?taste-wise a bit more difficult to tell apart, but overall i would go for stall 73, more bang for the bucks la…but my, indian rojak was nice! ^^ "
