" The platinum class is running some great promotions now. For 38$ you get the comfortable reclining seats, a small bottle of wine, a bucket of popcorn, a fried food platter. This is great for those lengthy movies. Also you get to avoid noisy children u get in the normal theatres "

" Watched Avengers Infinity War at your Platinum Suites in JEM for family of 4 on 30th April 730pm Hall-1. I’m trying Cathay Platinum the first time cos GV Gold was fully sold out.
Good:
1. Decent screen and nice seating.
BAD:
2. Whiff of weird damp smell in the air.
3. Dirty and wet toilets. Only 2 single toilets to serve a few halls. Your own staff came out of the toilet flicking water of his hands everywhere leaving the inside door handle wet.
4. My daughter ordered water, your staff asked me for permission and I said OK. Then she started asking for immediate payment. I requested to do this after the movie cos it’s an exciting part, yet she insisted due to some silly reason and insisted on exact change for $2.50 even when it’s pitch dark. I have to interruptmy movie, switch on the lamp light and dig my pockets to count the change. I didn’t want to argue cos I simply do not want to disturb the other guests.
What difference is this from someone answering a phone call in the middle of a movie?
5. Our set meal came with 1 wine for each guest. I’d already told your front desk to serve all the 4 glasses to me and Wife only. But in the middle of the movie, 2 glasses still went to my kids who were seated in front of us and my 13yo Son took a sip of the wine.
Your service staff lack training big time and this will be the first and last time to Cathay for me. It’s back to GV from now. "

" The hall of purchasing ticket might get crowded during peak hour as it's not very spacious. Not many ppl know that there are self service terminal to buy movie tickets as the sign is not prominent. I need to follow the q as I need to purchase student ticket. The cashier will prepare the food and tickets at the same time thus the process may takes a bit long.
The seat is OK and the aircon is not freezing cold. "

" The box office and F&B counters are combined towards the right side of the lobby, and it usually experiences large crowds during school holidays/weekends/post-exams. The queue can become very long so beware and plan your visit wisely. If you have a MasterCard or booked a ticket online go to the left counter; it's automated and saves you more time as compared to the right side.
F&B is unreasonably priced. They give you additional food you don't want when you just want a popcorn combo that used to be cheaper. Not cool.
The halls are decent but the seats don't feel comfy. Their backrest is quite thin and curved in. The screen also quite far from the seats, which does not add to the immersion (comfortable for some guests but I'm looking for extra fun and immersion from the movies).
Otherwise, it's a good place to catch a movie, but don't buy the food and drinks. "
