" Heard lots of good reviews for this “top 5” buffet in Singapore. Walked out of the hotel feeling v “unfulfilled”....
- Lunch is at $55++ /pax which is considered high compared to their neighbors who have better selection....
-Arrangement of the food is bad and I bet many people can’t find the sushi and sashimi corner unless they ask.
- Cheese section was rather disappointing with a sad variety.
- Indian food is rather surprisingly good n has many choices
- The seafood and cold cuts section are the most disappointing!!! For that price you pay... I don’t expect just 3 choices of seafood laying down so pathetically.... not the freshest choice I have tried in Singapore.
- Service is more than lacking for a hotel that is labeled “Oriental”. We won’t know there is 4 for the price of 3 promo till we ask about it. Plates were not cleared away on time.
Enough said. I won’t recommend for lunch. Go to their neighbor, food is better and cheaper. "

" Great dinner buffet, tried it on 30 July this year (2017) with another friend. Lots of variety - seafood, western, asian, BBQ, and big place. My friend liked the free flow of crayfish ("lobster") and the roast suckling pig. I guess those were the best value. I also enjoyed the buffet, but I'd say although its price is double or nearly triple of similar buffets at other restaurants, the food quality at Melt is maybe only 50-70% better. Which means they should bring the price down or add more/better food! Drinks selection can also be improved. They should consider giving a free beer bottle, like another japanese restaurant buffet which I ate at some time earlier! "
