" I traveled to Singapore in March 2018 with my wife for a short vacation and stayed at The Daulat for 3 nights. The hotel calls itself a boutique hotel and you should believe it especially when it comes to the room size. We thought we were prepared to stay in a small room but were unpleasantly surprised when we arrived. Our room was ridiculously small with barely enough space to even keep our luggage, let alone move freely. On the plus side, the room and the hotel in general were clean and the staff was pretty courteous. We had also read about there being too much noise from the surroundings at night making it difficult to fall asleep but we didn't have any such issue, mainly because our room was on the back side of hotel.
The biggest positive of this hotel would have to be its accessibility to Little India as well the Rochor and Jalan Besar MRT stations which were less than 0.5km away from the hotel. The room was clean and had all basic facilities despite its size.
On the downside, apart from the room size, I'd say, the breakfast menu can be improved. Or should I say, increased. It was very limited and we felt shortchanged.
To sum it up, if you're looking for a place to stay in the heart of the city and need it only to sleep at night, The Daulat is a good bet. If you're looking for a hotel with a big room, restaurant and/or having activities to do, I'm afraid to say, you'll have to look elsewhere. "

" The hotel is located in between Little India and Bugis street which were walking distance. There are coffee shops nearby the hotel too. Since it's a boutique hotel, the rooms were small but comfortable. However, the sliding door of the bathroom was too heavy and not easy to slide open or close. The service was efficient because I asked for extra amenities and it was given in less than 5 minutes. Overall, a great hotel for a staycation. "

" This hotel is on the border of Little India and Bugis. The MRT station is only 200 metres from the hotel. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. It is a small hotel with a variety of room styles. The size of some rooms is typical of Singapore while others are quite spacious. The price of the room includes breakfast which is limited in choice but more than enough to satisfy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would stay hete again. "

" Summary based on a one night stay. Great location in this 3 story, boutique hotel on a quiet side street in Little India. About 5 minutes walk to the underground passage to Rochor MRT station that’s located at the corner of Perak and Sungei Roads. Area seemed safe. Good street lighting.
Couldn’t get an early check in, so dropped luggage in their storage room until my room was ready. Modern elevator. Free coffee and soft drinks for guests in the lobby. Inside and outside seating available.
Got an upgrade to a loft room. Small sitting area and bathroom on the first level with bed & TV upstairs. Modern key card security on the room entrance door. Windows in the room, though obstructed views. Ok lighting, but minimal room for a laptop and no electrical receptacles close by to the work surface. Wifi was ok. No electrical receptacles near the bed I could find, though the friendly front desk staff person tried to explain that they existed. In room safe, iron/ironing board.
Bathroom was modern style with ample hot water. Shower only, no tub and it drained ok. Towels and amenities were fine.
No appreciable noise from adjacent rooms, though some from a nearby mosque. Aircon was fine.
Complimentary breakfast with buffet coffee, fruit juice, and pastry as well as cooked to order eggs. Several restaurants close by as well as a 7-11 convenience store. 5 minutes walk to a great food court at Tekka Centre.
Interesting outdoor lap pool in roof area making the best use of the limited available space.
