About The Pulisan

The Pulisan is located in the heart of the Wallacea botanical zone and the Coral triangle which makes it home to thousands of endemic flora and fauna, both aquatic and terrestrial, including the Macaca nigra (Celebes crested macaque), Macrocephalon maleo (Maleo), Tarsius tarsier (Spectral Tarsier) and the Latimeria menadoensis (Indonesian Coelacanth). which have all been classified as critically endangered or vulnerable by the IUCN. It is part of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) called ‘KEK Likupang' in North Sulawesi, Indonesia.Situated within the Ring of Fire, the region also presents unique pieces of mosaic landscapes which will function as a sightseeing tourist attraction, and a rich area to conduct research and studies of geological sciences.
