The Ecolodge Bukit Lawang Cottages promotes eco-tourism in the area of Bukit Lawang. Located in the edge of Leuser National Park, one of the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites, Bukit Lawang is also famous for its Sumatran orangutan observation centre.
The idea of the establishment of Ecolodge Bukit Lawang Cottages is to promote eco-tourism, the conservation of Sumatran orangutan and environmental education.
All profits from the Ecolodge Bukit Lawang Cottages are invested in various environmental conservation programmes implemented by Yayasan Ekosistem Lestari (YEL).
