" Decided to have Sunday lunch here recently. I rang on spec to see if there was any availability for three people. There was no problem acommodating us. On entering the premises we were treated like royalty and shown to our seats immediately. Menus presented we were given some time to peruse after our drinks were ordered. The selection was fantastic with vegetarian options available. As we were time constraint we didn't opt for the full three courses but opted for two courses one with starter and another with dessert. We placed our order and sat back to take in our surroundings. The dark wooden stairs led up to a mezzanine which made the place feel open and airy. While looking around the waiting staff placed on our table the nicest bread basket full of a selection of bread freshly baked. Alongside this was two small butter pats with rich creamy butter. It was impossible to resist the bread and we all tucked in immediately. Before long my starter arrived Goats cheese and Beetroot. I loved the lightness of the starter with the bread and reluctantly shared some of it. I was left satisfied looking forward to the mains. These consisted of roast beef, mushroom rissoto and the fish option of turbot. Thankfully I'm pescatarian as when it arrived in had a sneaky taste and it was sublime. I was just contemplating becoming a carnivore again when I saw the roast beef. I was in admit disappointed when my rissoto was placed in front of me for that first split second. That however disappeared as soon as I tasted it's rich creaminess. We also ordered the cauliflower gratin and champ. Unfortunately I didn't get to taste the champ as it had bacon pieces running through it. I can't remember a meal for a while where we cleaned everything on our plates at least two or three times with the amount of sides we were served. This food was excellent and the Malbec and Guinness was washing everything down like nectar from the Gods. Dessert was sticky toffee pudding with carmalised banana. I ordered my obligatory coffee. Now there is always a glitch if only minor the dessert did not live up to the rest of the meal. The pudding was slightly burnt and the carmalised banana was not there. However it came with a rich caramel sauce on the side and banana icecream. Now most people are not find of banana icecream thankfully I'm not one, unfortunately neither was one of my companions who I fought very valiantly for some of the icecream and caramel sauce. To conclude the meal was excellent over all. The restaurant is a hidden gem in Two Mile House and would highly recommend this place for Sunday lunch or an evening meal at the weekend. "
