Itzik's is Derech Beit Lechem's landmark neighborhood cafe. Originally a "pitzutzia" - convenience store - Hamakom Shel Itzik acquired a coffee machine and slowly began providing sandwiches from behind it's bar. A couple of years later, Itzik removed the cigarettes, chips and soda and converted his space into a warm and friendly cafe.

The restaurant is entirely vegetarian, save for their fish dishes.

Itzik's boasts a Tav Chevrati in addition to his kosher certification. A Tav Chevrati is a Social Certificate that certifies fair treatment of the wait and cook staff.
