Description

Ballagreyney was a working farm up until the 1950’s, it lay neglected until 1995 when the new owners Kirrie & Philip started to restore it. Along with two beautiful stone cottages there is a fully renovated Mill, built in 1859, which was formerly used for threshing wheat and barley.
The surrounding hills and valleys are still farmed by the family and there are lots of footpaths in the area which make it an ideal base for ramblers.
Four acres of garden surround the complex comprising a large number of young and mature trees and a meadow – a haven for wildlife. There is also an area created especially for recreational use, such as tennis and croquet, and sports equipment is provided free of charge. In addition children and adults alike will enjoy the thrill of the zip wire.
There is plenty of parking and a separate utility room houses washing machines and tumble dryers.
Ballagreyney has commanding views over the southern coastline and hills to the rear. It is approximately 3 miles from Castletown, the ancient capital of the Island, and 5 miles from the quaint fishing villages of Port Erin and Port St Mary. The small village of Ballabeg is 1 3/4 miles away, with a bus service to Port Erin, Castletown and Douglas. The steam railway runs in the summer months from Port Erin through Ballabeg station to Douglas.
