Amritlal Virpal Parekh Technical Institute popularly known as AVPTI, offers diploma courses in Computer Aided Costume Design & Dress Making, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, Information Technology & Commercial Practice. The institute was established in July 1948 with a donation of Rs.105001 from Sheth Shri Amrutlal Virpal Parekh, a great local donor and philanthropist with an aim to start a Training Centre for Wireless Telegraphy in Rajkot.
