" Good old fashioned aquarium. Oldest aquarium in India. It seriously needs renovation. Authority should think to add more lighting and needs to make it world class. It was innovative and amazing in 90s now it is just a history thing. Can take the kids for pass time. The built-in space is also less and the varieties of aquatic animals are limited. "

" It is an awesome place to go with kids. There are variety of fishes and other marine life creatures. My 2 year old was fascinated by the big green sea turtle they have. I saw sea horses for the first time in reality. They give u full information about each and every acquatic species. Great place and yeah knowledgeable too. "

" Not upto world class standard. Need good funding from government. This is one of the oldest aquarium and now need special attention from Government of Maharastra. There's beautiful garden next to Aquarium and one can enjoy sea view in evening.
There's no parking area.
Charging RS.500 for mobile click is too much.
Either government should not allow photography or charge max RS. 50 for photography.
Quality of aquarium is getting down day by day. "

" After the renovation, the aquarium has many new species of fishes and aquatic animals.They have rare species of fishes. Fresh water fish. Sea Water Fish. It takes about an hour to see the Aquarium.
Entry timings 10 A.M. to 8 P.M.
Tickets timings 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.
Ticket Rates : Adult Rs.60, Child Rs.40
Photography not allowed.
The most intriguing part of the aquarium was the innovative type of door fish tank which is made of glass and gives a feeling of being under water. In the new additions of fishes my favourite was jelly fish. The turtles were huge and creatures from sea life added to the rare collection.
Overall a memorable experience. "

" First reaction - Oh its pretty small !! The aquarium is re-oped recently with far too much of hype but unfortunately it is no where close to that. I simply cannot understand why there is a ban on photography, even without flash. Don't go here with big expectations as you will surely disappoint yourself. Good for kids though. Parking is available inside. "

The entrance is quite great.
They charge around 60 per adult and 20/30 for kids.
But it is worth for what you see in this aquarium.
The place is small but filled with beautiful creatures,
A Giant Turtle, Sea horse and eagle ray fish are the main attractions. "

" You may think that jaws movie was shot here . I will be honest with you, no jaws movie was not shot here because the siE of tanks here very small hardly enough to fit a single fin of great white shark.
Even, if there was such a huge fish in the aquarium, local fisherman would have cut it and sold it to people ready to buy fresh great white shark as it tastes just yummy.
I would totally recommend this place for you and your kids if you bad knowledge of basic fishes. If you are smart enough and with a girlfriend , take a smart decision don't go out just stay home. "
