Imphal International Airport (IATA: IMF, ICAO: VEIM) is an international airport situated 8 km south of Imphal, the capital of the Indian state of Manipur, India. It is the only international airport in the state of Manipur and the second international airport in the north eastern region of India, after Guwahati. It is also the third busiest airport in the north east region of India.
Imphal airport is served by international and regional commercial airlines and is also used for chartered planes and general aviation purposes. It is situated at an altitude of 2,542 ft / 774.80m and has a 9,022 ft / 2,749.90m long asphalt runway. The international airport serves to connect Imphal and the rest of Manipur to other major Indian cities like Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati, as well as to regionals airports such as Agartala, Silchar and Aizawl.
