" We booked a cab for 3 days with Amantra travels after finding great reviews on google and as we had booked our stay at Amantra Shilpi Resort. The helpdesk sends a very high level itenary for each day and a lumpsum package plus gst. They do not share details about km drive specific to siteseeing and provide cab for 10/12 hours and 250/300 km for each day. For local site seeing the cab would hardly travel 100 kms. Even on requesting they do not share breakup of the package cost. If you ask for reducing the siteseeing to half day they do a random calculation and provide you revised cost. Do not rely on their drivers for good restaurants as they take you to specific ones and same applies to shopping in local market. They give you complimentary half day guide who appears for couple of hours brings you at a handicraft store and disappears. No receipt is provided at the end of trip. On our last day of trip I requested them to book only half day tour and include nathdwara and eklingji temples but they forced me to either pay for whole day to include the temples or go for local siteseeing which was already covered on day1. The Amantra resort reception asks for payment in cash at time of checkout so we had to withdraw and pay cash to the driver at the end of trip. Overall not satisfied with the tour operator.
Reply to response from tour operator: The facts they have stated in response to my concerns in review are false. When they are asking for cash payment, they should provide atleast a manual bill with complete breakup which they never offered to me. They could have placed a UPI barcode on reception of the resort. Now regarding complimentary half day guide, that person took us straight to fatehsagar lake where you dont need a guide for a boat ride, then we were taken to lok kala mandal again no use of guide, lastly to handicraft emporium where that person disappeared when we returned. What a complimentary joke!! Regarding package I asked them to schedule half day tour for ShreeNathji and Eklingji on day three as i had to return in evening but their tour operator told us to either accept full day to include these sites or go for local site seeing in half day even though these two sites are covered within 100 kms and can be completed easily in 6 hours. Please note we never asked for haldighati due to shortage of time. They only relented when we had to return mid way on day two as described by them. Nowhere I mentioned about driver except about not to rely on choice of restaurants and shops. The driver was good natured and thats why i gave good review for him on their feedback form but raised same concerns in the form as well. This review is not influenced by anyone and is posted for others to plan their trip with this travel operator cautiously keeping in mind this feedback. Going for Ola and Uber cabs for local siteseeing and pick/drop from station/airport is better option. "
