" The refurbished rooms are nice and comfy with good beds. The old rooms not so good. Once the hotel is finished refurbishment it will be great. Only about 10min walk from town. "

" An OK Stay
We stayed here recently on a mid-week trip to Iceland. The hotel was a short walk to the town centre and all the main sights. The hotel is being renovated and it needs it. Our room was on the small size and had seen better days. But it was clean and very quiet. The bathroom was OK (plenty of hot water) but it all needs updating. The free breakfast was good - I loved the cereal, local berries and skyr. The coffee was OK too. The main restaurant was closed for dinner on the day we arrived, so we had the evening buffet. It was not great - and quite expensive - but it was good enough (and the chocolate brownies were good!). The hotel wifi was OK but not very fast. We got free tickets to the local geothermal outdoor swimming baths - that was fun (sitting outside in just above freezing temperatures in a gusty rainy day - wow). I would avoid this place until the renovations are complete. "

" Good hotel in the west of the city, about 15 minutes walk to the shops and bars area of Reykjavik. The rooms are cleana and simple, though could do with some modernising. Also, the shower head is rather low, at over 6' it wasn't the easiest to use. The bar downstairs was being renovated on our visit so not much seating, but it serves a reasonable range of drinks and snacks. Breakfast buffet was good, though expensive. There are a few small cafes nearby that are worth the walk for something smaller and cheaper. Overall a decent hotel that, although a little out of the way, is great for exploring the city. "

" Swung though here for a wonderful cocktail. Very nice staff and a great stop off to warm up a bit while wandering the streets. The hotel looked really nice too. Definitely would consider staying here next time I'm in town. "

" Hotel was in a good location, close to town. With the breakfast inclusion it is very eonomical. My room was a little small but clean and I appreciated that I was able to get in early with such an early arrival. There is a seafood restaurant down the street opposite of town and it was inexpensive and very good, a Thai restaurant too. All in all a good choice. "

" We've been to a couple of Radisson Blu hotels. This one is not nearly up to standard. Decor and Bathrooms are ancient and dowdy. The room advertised on Expedia is nothing like the room we had ( though similar to previous Radisson Blu hotel we had visited). We visited while renovations were being done which did not help. However, the staff were always friendly and helpful. "

" Recommended, if a little too pricy.

The room shown below is a business class room.

Generally good location - 20 minutes walk from the pier, where you can eat great homemade food, and about 15 minutes from the Reykjavik Hard Rock Café that literally rocks!

Staff is friendly and relaxed, nothing too formal, nothing too clumsy - just right.

Bathroom included a very nice bathtub, great for relaxing after a long day of exploring.

There are 2 restaurants located on this hotel - one downstairs, that acts as a morning, lunch and dinner buffet. The one upstairs is more of a fine restaurant, but I HIGHLY recommend checking it out; it's not too expensive, the food is incredibly good, and you'll leave thinking about your taste buds a whole different way. Seriously, consider it. More info is in the elevators. It's on the top floor.

The reason for the deducted star comes from 2 reasons:

1: The price.

2: We arrived at around 10am, being told our rooms (3 of them) would be fine by then. We arrived, and were told none of them were ready. Not a single one. We dropped of our luggage and were told that, ah well, they'd be ready soon. How soon? 4 hours. That's not soon when they should've been ready when we arrived, Radisson. Especially not for business class rooms. "

" Wonderful place to stay. It's located less than 10mins away from downtown. Rooms are clean and modern at reasonable prices. "

" The shower. Head was good, as well as the bed...there's no overnight laundry service, the washroom door its big time spring loaded and the Breakfast is not included. "

" Tired business hotel in the centre of town, rooms are old fashioned and poorly maintained with peeling wallpaper and lots of nicks and scrapes on the furniture. Bathrooms are very 70s and water pressure is a constant problem.

Staff is friendly and try to make the best of the situation, bars and restaurants are efficient and the food is fine. Amenities like pool and saunas were under renovation and wholly unavailable.

Even accounting for the higher than average hotel prices in Iceland this hotel simply does not seem worth it. "
